CIR hosts another fantastic moderated conversation, with
Amb. Vicki Huddleston in conversation with Amb. Pamela White.

When Amb. White was USAID Director in Mali, she created a unique partnership for girls' education with the nomadic Tuaregs. With the Tanzania government, she and her team dramatically reduced rates of malaria on the large island of Zanzibar. Three dynamic women — President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Amb. Linda Greenfield Thomas, and Amb. White as the USAID Director — moved Liberia out of chaos toward a stable democracy.  And yet, giving aid and advising Presidents is far from a guarantee of success. Leadership matters; leadership is essential. On that theme, Amb. White will also critically reflect on her time as ambassador to both The Gambia and Haiti. Join us to learn all about her fascinating career and current perspectives.
